Friendly Society gathering c1914 – probably the Pride of Sudbury lodge 7324 of the Royal Antediluvian order of Buffaloes. The collars are their badges of office. The venue for this meeting was the courtyard of the Rose and Crown – the ancient inn which was destroyed by fire on New Year’s Day 1922. The Lodge was wound up in the 1990s.
