This photo was taken by Thomas Rothwell who was a member of the Ordnance Section of 832 Squadron (a part of the USAAF 486th Bomb Group stationed at Chilton airfield 1944-45). Clearly this sight of a milkman on his rounds with a hand cart caught his attention. We cannot be absolutely sure that it was taken in Sudbury since most of the GI’s accommodation was in Great Waldingfield.
