The staff of Bruntons Propellers gathered outside their premises in Edgworth Road, probably at some point in the late 1940s. Clearly they were a major employer in the town. Their offices, warehouses and foundry on the left have all been demolished and the site is now occupied by a redbrick block of shops and flats and the Waitrose carpark.
