A view of No112 Queens Road, taken in the Edwardian period . This fine Victorian villa was built in 1890 by John Deeks of Sible Hedingham, gentleman, so some time had to elapse for the front to be covered in the ivy or other creeper. A modern image of No 112 Woodburn can be found on the Sudbury Society Local List – the downstairs sun shades have gone and a different porch added but otherwise the frontage is untouched. Also missing today is the conical bottle shaped kiln of Frederick Goodhall’s Victorian maltings which stood on the high ground behind his house – now No118 The Mount (also Locally Listed). .
