Ballingdon Street from the west c1925. We are told that Cliff Hill, on the bike, brought home a monkey from his service in WW2.
This view is little changed today – the White Horse public house and brewery building still stands on the right although now offices. The horse trough has been moved further down the street to just beyond the railway bridge.
