Belle Vue

One of a number from a local collection. Some are clearly of the pageant on Friars Great Common in 1911 to celebrate the Coronation of George V but this one and others appear to be taken in a more park-like venue, perhaps Belle Vue. Since these cards have Ernie Shaw's name on the back he might be one of the boys and it may have a link with the very early days of Scouting in Sudbury. The tableau seems to show the death of General Wolfe on the Heights of Abraham.
