The CAV engineering company arrived in Sudbury in 1944, taking out a lease on New Hall, this former Victorian silk factory In New Street. This image was taken in 1948. It subsequently moved its operation to what is now Lucas Drive on the Cornard Road and finally to the vast factory in Alexandra Road which closed in July 2020. In the process changing its name to Lucas CAV and finally Delphi. You can find other images by using the search engine and entering CAV.
