Wreckage of the B-17 bomber which crashed at Woodhall Farm on 15th October 1944. The heavily laden bomber failed to gain height and sliced through the upper floor of Wood Hall before crashing here. A young boy in the attic of the house died of burns and all the crew perished apart from the pilot who suffered severe brain damage.
