Victoria Cottage on Windmill Hill (the early name for Constitution Hill). The house is relatively unchanged today. This photo was taken in about 1885. We believe that it shows George Baker, a civil servant with the excise department, his wife Esther and various members of their family. This image comes from a group of glass plate photos taken by Ernest Eugene Purr.
