Dot Keeble and Nora Gooday sorting seeds for Cundys. Dot is the lady in the foreground, Nora is right at the back – the lady in between them is not known. Nora's grandson, Geoff Cardy, remembers going to watching her at work sorting out the bad peas from the good -very hard work and poorly paid.
Norah lived in one of the three storey weaver's cottages in Station Road with her sister Jessie. Their father was chief clerk of the railway station when most of the goods came into the town by rail.
