Rego clothing company workers gathered for a publicity photograph on The Croft. They worked at the Vanners silk factory in Girling Street. Rego took over the factory during WW2 to make battledresses -approximately 100 local women worked there. Rego wanted to continue making clothing there after the War but found it impossible to recruit enough women so Vanners reoccupied the factory. The Aldi supermarket is now on the site.
