Mill Lane School visit to London on March 30th 1948. 98 boys, 5 teachers and 5 helpers went on the trip and their tour included the Tower, the Imperial War Museum and the Houses of Parliament. Here they are with Lt Colonel Hamilton in centre. He was Sudbury’s first and last Labour MP. He lost his seat when Sudbury was absorbed into the South Suffolk constituency in the late 1950s.
