No 7 New Street – it roughly dates from the 1860s and was probably built as a shop. Angelo Smith started his jewellery business here before moving to North Street (see image pa812). It then served as a grocery and provision store before becoming a bookshop in 1975 (seen here). The bookshop closed in 2004 and No7 became a private house.
