Demolition of properties on the east side of North Street. We are unsure when this took place – one source suggests as early as 1946-7. On the left the Green Dragon public house (which was subsequently demolished to make way for a supermarket – most recently M&S Simply Food but currently (2010) unoccupied).
Woolworths was built on the site of the properties being demolished in this picture. This has now become an Iceland store.
