This is the fourth photo from Andy Gates (see pa 1159-1163). This image shows Thomas George Gates and his wife Sarah Jane Gates on a bicycle and trailer in front of the doors leading to the Salvation Army hall which was located at the rear of the Temperance Hotel. These doors were just beyond the brick pillar which can be seen at the extreme right of the image of the cyclists (pa1161). Note that Sarah is holding a posy. The shop visible to the right of the gates must have been demolished when the Post Office was built (now owned by the Jehovahs Witnesses).
