An aerial view of the network of sidings and buildings that once occupied both sides of Great Eastern Road. Very few of the buildings which were served by the railway on the north side still survive but the sidings  left a permanent mark on the path and road pattern. Walk into the bus station site from Great Eastern Road – the curving path echoes the line of the siding which served Wheelers timber yard (in the foreground). late 1950s?
