An unknown motor cyclist poses for his photograph on The Croft whilst some curious boys watch the proceedings. The weavers’ cottages of Croft Road and Church Walk can be seen in the background (all long since demolished.) The motor cycle is a Royal Enfield V-twin. The registration plate is a West Suffolk numbers from a series beginning in January 1921 but of course the machine itself could be older and re-registerd in 1921.
