The young Anthony Moore is sitting in the centre with his legs dangling: their scoutmaster, Geoff Layer, is on the right. He was also involved with running Scout troops in Cornard and Lavenham, as well as running his shoe shop at 48 North Street (the Georgian house at the top end opposite Sulby House. He lived above the shop.)
