This photo was taken by the local photographer Charles F. Emeny at some point in the years after WW1. The caption on the mount is "The Old 5th Suffolks" The survivors of that appalling carnage are wearing their service medals. At the LH end of the middle row wearing a light grey suit is Henry Brackett who ran a shoemakers shop in the Four Swans building in North Street.
